Our client is an established banking group currently seeking a seasoned asset management business leader to steer and develop its new businesses.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the application process for the Type 9 license.
Maintain proactive communication with regulatory authorities, promptly addressing inquiries and requests.
Develop and refine internal product processes and regulations related to asset management.
Ensure strict compliance with regulatory and internal bank requirements.
Drive team and system development, foster the creation of robust infrastructure and processes for seamless asset management operations.
Execute business activities promptly upon licensing – formulate and implement comprehensive asset management strategies encompassing portfolio management, risk control, and performance evaluation.
Lead the team to cultivate relationships with prospective clients.
Accomplish other assignments as delegated by senior management or the Board.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in finance, economics, marketing, management or related.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Candidates with RO or EO experience under the Type 9 license are preferred.
Track record in managing client assets and investment portfolios, with deep knowledge of the end-to-end processes, and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional communication skills enabling effective liaison with regulatory bodies and internal/external stakeholders.
Proficient in utilizing asset management systems and adept at developing relevant business systems expeditiously.
Proven expertise in managing discretionary investment accounts and private fund business, with a readiness to collaborate with banks for efficient business operations upon licensing.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
